Abstract – Are urodynamics mandatory before surgical treatment of stress urinary incontinence in women?

Introduced as an invasive method for biopsying the placenta, the chorionic villus sampling remains the method of choice for establishing a prenatal diagnosis during the first trimester of gestation. The procedure is addressed to women with a high risk of conceiving a fetus with genetic disorders, while offering low morbidity and mortality, and it is currently included in numerous protocols for prenatal diagnosis of human genetic disorders.
