 Abstract
Urge syndrome is associated with IUE in up to 60%. When detrusor instability isn’t demonstrated on urodinamics, more then 50% patients lose their urgency following anti-incontinence surgery. We evaluated and treated by pubovaginal sling 36 women with mixed incontinence: 12 patients (33%) had all 4 simptoms of urge syndrome while 24 patients (76.7%) had only pure urgency.
On postoperative evaluation, no patient (100%) had detectable stress incontinence but satifaction rate with result was only 61.2% (22 patients). The remaining 14 patients (38.8%) in whom result was unsuccessful, most important reason for dissatisfaction was the persistent urge syndrome who was treated with anthycolinergic medication.
