Abstract – 3D/4D ultrasound in evaluation of the orofacial defects

Objective: The aim of the study is to demonstrate the importance of 3D/4D ultrasound in evaluation of the orofacial defects, in improving the bonding between the child and his parents, and to establish a future plan with multidisciplinary team.
Methods: We examined 68 patients sent to us with diagnosis of cleft lips after 2D scanning and we use two methods of 3D ultrasound: Reverse face view and Multiplaner view.
Results: We compared the antenatal and postnatal diagnosis of 60 patients and the detection rate was between 82 % and 96%.
